Organic Moment

Those first organic bites....

Salem M from MA

When Saamra—my one and only child—was born, my life changed. I was a new mother, happily a new career, and living in Cambridge on a very tight budget. I've always been a healthy eater but once I had my new baby girl in my arms, it was clear: from now on, it would be all-organic for our family. Or as much as I could find, given that it was the early 1980’s. Eating the healthiest, freshest, cleanest food I could get my hands on became top priority. While organic food costs more, I found buying it in bulk was one way to make it more affordable. Now Saamra is an adult living her own life, and I’m really happy to say that she is a great healthy eater. Maybe those first organic bites made a difference! And now, after living around the globe, she lives in San Francisco where organic food is practically on every corner—from local cafes to farmers markets to grocery stores. Times have really changed-- for the better.
